Zwave Temp Sensor For Freezer. Fibaro have a zwave universal sensor, and i bought a waterproof temperature sensor for it (waterproof digital thermal probe or sensor ds18b20), looks similar to the one suggested here. If this indeeds uses the zwave standards, could documentation for a standard inclusion be included as well.

By that i mean things like, for instance, the fact that the specs for the st mp sensor indicate an operating temp range of 32 to 104°f (0 to 40°c)…which might be ok, but i’m not sure given that my freezer tends to run slightly below 0°c. For reliability/accuracy the following did well.

I’m interested in getting the ring flood and freeze sensor but i already have a zwave network and don’t need the ring alarm base station. The purpose of this would be to monitor the temperature of your freezer and/or alert you if your freezer is not working properly.

Which may be better as you could use this as a door contact to with the remote one wire temperature probe. It will act as a z wave repeater if you have it running off of mains power at the time that you add it to your network.
